Colesbourne Gardens - Enchanting Havens

Colesbourne Gardens in Gloucestershire has one of the greatest snowdrop gardens in England. The collection is quite likely the most varied of any garden on display, with over three hundred varieties of this spectacular harbinger of spring on show during the short season. Colesbourne is home to over ten acres of private gardens and woodland walks with a mix of snowdrops, hellebores, cyclamen and a wide variety of early flowering shrubs. The Gardens include an arboretum of rare trees privately collected over the past 120 years.

Every year during snowdrop season the gardens open to the public every weekend and I can say without a doubt that it is one of the most wonderful experiences, little white bells as far as the eye can see, and as if they weren't magical enough, there is also a lake where the waters are a luminous blue. If you can, it is very worth traveling to see, I believe an endless vista of snowdrops is worth every mile.
